The Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal has named the three cubs of the female royal Bengal tiger named Shila. Shila gave birth to three cubs at the Bengal Safari Park. Seperate enclosures have been constructed for the cubs. According to the forest minister, the CM had shown interest in naming the cubs. She has named them Rika, Kika and Ika. The cubs are kept under observation and will be released when the officials get the final permission from the higher authority. People will get to see them while enjoying a tiger safari. The park has a total of three royal Bengal tigers (two male and a female), two leopards, a one-horned rhino, two Himalayan black bear, elephants, six gharials (fish-eating crocodiles), deer and an aviary full of different species of birds.
