CM Mamata Banerjee has a plan for 'Thakurnagarbashi'

The honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee attended an event which took place at Thakurnagar. On the occasion of 100th birth anniversary of Barua Binapani Devi of ‘Matuya Sangha’, she stated, one college has already been established in Thakurnagar. The Harichand-Gurchand University will be built in honour of Harichand Thakur, founder of ‘Matuya Sangha’. The students can now go for higher education and for that they will get all the benefits in that area. On Wednesday the CM went to Chandpara and there she came across 8.8-acre plot. The land has been given to the education department to build Harichand-Gurchand University

The district magistrate has ordered the education department to do all the necessary formalities regarding the land. The Chief Minister also said, ‘Matuya Thakurbari’ will have two gates which will be built by the State Tourism Department. Thakurnagar house will get a new look. The Chief Minister has ordered the officials to complete the beautification work within the next 20 days.
