The honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee talked about the biggest festival of Bengal while attending the Biswa Bangla Sarod Samman event. 75 puja committees of Calcutta and adjoining districts were rewarded at the 'Nabanna Sabhaghar' on Wednesday.
While addressing the organizers she stated, ‘I am proud of your achievements. The organizers are the ones who have taken the biggest festival of Bengal to another level and I am grateful to all of you for that. A festival which everyone celebrates is the real festival’. The Chief Minister also said the organizers will have to come forward for the development of the area as well besides worshiping the goddess. The government is working on the development of infrastructure and the places should be kept clean. The government has already allocated a special budget of Rs 33,000 cr for infrastructure development.
