Food comes next to religion when it comes to Bengal. The first of its kind, Kolkata is about to witness the first ‘Food Bloggers Awards.’ Chefs are the masters but their effort would go in vain if their recipe is not tasted. Bloggers bring to us the ingredients and the procedure so that we get more fascinated to taste them by reading about them, but, regrettably, these brilliant minds hardly get their recognition, though they have a huge social fan following. Candid Communications hence, take the initiative to award such minds who take us closer to food and increase our passion towards them.
An, initiative by, Ms. Paromita Ghosh, Director, Candid Communications, Kolkata unveiled the logo as well as the registration procedures for the ‘Top Food Bloggers Award 2018’ at the Sonnet Hotel on the 20th January 2018. The occasion was graced by, Ms.Meeryung Hall, wife of Honorary, US Consul General Mr. Craig Hall, Chess Master Dibyendu Barua and eminent actor and elocutionist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee. On this occasion, the Sonnet Hotel even introduced their new menu on grills which they shall start from the 1st February 2018. The occasion even had some food bloggers who shall be nominated in the ‘Top Food Bloggers Award 2018.’
The nominations for submission of entries shall commence from the 22nd January and shall continue till the 15th February 2018, after which the jury shall take a week time to go through the entries and their content and the finals shall take place on the 22nd - 23rd February approximately. There are a total number of 12 awards in different categories, which include Best Travel Blog, Most Inspired Weeknight Dinners, Best Food Instagram, Best Drinks Blog, Best Baking & Sweets Blog, Best Style & Design Blog, Food & Culture Best Essay Award, Best Food Videos, Best Food Podcast, Best New Voice, Best Photography and The Obsessive Award: Best Special Interest Blog. Every category is to have three nominations, from which one shall win from each. For registrations, the participants are to check the website www.tfbaindia.com .
Here’s hoping the ‘Top Food Bloggers Award’ to be the talk of the city.
