Police stations in Kolkata have been asked to identify more areas that can be brought under the surveillance of close circuit television cameras. The directive came from the Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar while addressing officers at the monthly crime conference held at the Alipore Bodyguard Lines on Friday.
The Commissioner referred to a snatching case during which the cops could arrest the gang of three with the help of CCTV cameras. The cops are planning to identify more areas and are going to install them for the protection of the people of Kolkata.
