Bus Services Resume At Behala

Behala residents received a much needed relief after the bus service resumed their services in the New Year. With the Kolkata Municipal Corporation finishing its water pipeline work at the Siriti crossing, the cops opened up all the previously used routes for the buses to operate. The convergence of the Biren Roy Road (east) and Rammohan Roy Road take place at Siriti. And these roads are extremely important as they provide links to the Tollygunge Metro. These roads were inaccessible during the pipeline work and the usual half an hour journey between Behala Chowrasta and Sakherbazar to Tollygunge Metro would take up close to an hour. Upon the inclusion of two new buses on the route, the M16 and M18 to Tollygunge Metro, the daily commuters are feeling at ease with the added transport facilities.
