Bulletproof cars to tighten security

The 2019 Lok Sabha election is not far away and the state will witness VVIPs who will be coming from New Delhi just before the polls. Even many top leaders, including the Prime Minister, will be arriving for promotions. Everyone belongs to the Z-Plus or Jet category security list and according to guidelines, bulletproof cars are mandatory for them. If more than one meeting is scheduled on the same day, problems may arise while providing them bulletproof cars. In that case, the Central Government, in charge of the security of the SPG or security, could raise questions about their safety. The state police officials want to buy the extra five bulletproof cars for this reason. Already a proposal regarding this has been sent to Nabanna. The police officials are making arrangements for extra bulletproof cars.
