Say hello to the new kid in the block, Kerala is all set to set up its own T10 academy. An initiative by leading Indian businessmen and the owners of the Kerala Kings team met CM Pinarayi Vijayan with the proposal to set up the academy
Kerala Kings, the team that won the first-ever international T10 tournament held in Sharjah, discussed with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan their modus operandi to conduct the T10 cricket matches and spotting emerging talents, to enroll them in the academy.
T10, a relatively new enticing cricketing format, was the original idea of Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of Mulk Holdings. According to him it will give young talents the platform to represent their states and their nation on an international platform. They are also ready to provide cricketers from Kerala and from across India, with permanent jobs with residency status to make them qualify, to represent the UAE at international tournaments.
According to Hussein Adam Ali, co-owner of Kerala Kings, players would also be offered an attractive remuneration and perks.
