The shooting for the film ‘Khadan’ commenced in February last year. It features Dev in the lead role, alongside several other prominent stars. However, apart from Dev, Jissu Sengupta and Bony Sengupta were set to play significant characters in this movie.
While Jissu remains on the shooting floor, Bony unexpectedly withdrew from the film. What prompted this decision? Why did he opt out of acting?
Even before the shooting began, Jissu's first look at the movie was unveiled, raising anticipation. However, while the names of other actors associated with the film were announced, Bony’s name was conspicuously absent. This sparked speculation from the get-go.
It’s been revealed that Bony will be replaced by the popular small-screen actor John Bhattacharya. And with the shooting already underway, the show must go on.
Sources close to the actor suggest that all characters in the film have shades of grey. Bony is widely recognized for his romantic roles, but this time, he seemed reluctant to portray a negative character. Hence, he chose to bid adieu to the project.
Reportedly, director Sujit Dutta will helm the film, with actors like Idhika Pal, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Anirban Chakraborty, and Sneha Bose also starring in pivotal roles.
