Renowned Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade experienced a sudden heart attack on Thursday night, right after wrapping up the shoot for the upcoming film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. The 47-year-old actor, known for his versatile roles in both Hindi and Marathi cinema, returned home feeling uneasy, revealing to his wife that he sensed discomfort in his chest.
Promptly rushed to a private hospital in West Andheri, Mumbai, Shreyas underwent angioplasty to address the cardiac arrest. Sources report that Shreyas had been shooting throughout the day, exuding joy and camaraderie with his co-stars, including Akshay Kumar. However, upon completing the shoot, he expressed a sense of unease to his wife, leading to his swift admission to the hospital.
Today, Shreyas Talpade's wife, Deepti, took to social media to update friends and well-wishers about his health. In her post, she wrote, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern and well-wishes following the recent health scare my husband experienced. I’m relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days. The medical team’s exceptional care and timely response have been instrumental during this time, and we are grateful for their expertise.”
Deepti concluded by saying, “We kindly request respect for our privacy as he continues his recovery. Your unwavering support has been a tremendous source of strength for both of us.”
The incident deeply moved the Talpade family, with emotional reactions pouring in from fans. Shreyas, known for his roles in hit films like ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’, has amassed popularity over the past two decades, working in over 45 films.
