Director Debaloy Bhattacharya’s much-awaited thriller ‘Biday Byomkesh’ is all set to release on 20th July. Unlike the other Byomkesh films, this one is not based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s novels. Instead, Debaloy has penned down an original script keeping an 80-year-old Byomkesh Bakshi in the center.
“Shantanu Bandyopadhyay, the son of Sharadindu allowed the movie just because he loved the story,” he revealed. He also praised Abir Chatterjee, the lead actor who plays Byomkesh and his grandson Satyaki.
According to him, playing an old Byomkesh was a challenge and no one but Abir could play this role.
