Bengali film “Death” directed by Shubharanjan Roy released on 27th April. This is a little different from other movies as it does not feature any song sequence. Song sequences are meant for viewers’ entertainment but this film lacks such sequences. When the director was asked about this, he said that it is a thriller where 14 people disappear mysteriously; the lead actor happens to be the sub-inspector who is busy solving the case, and as a result, he has no time to dance!
According to the director, the film begins with the report of a disappeared girl at the police station. In order to find the missing girl, a search team was formed under the supervision of lady inspector Sharmila Roy. During the investigation, people started disappearing; while locals started thinking that they were getting murdered but no dead bodies were found. Can the mystery be solved? The movie is set in the backdrop of Durgapur, Siliguri and Kolkata.
