The two-day Annual Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town. Representatives from 36 counties including United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, UAE, Czech Republic, Japan, and Poland are joining the summit. Industry giants like Reliance Industries' chairman Mukesh Ambani, JSW Group's chief Sajjan Jindal, Future Group head Kishore Biyani, ITC's CEO Sanjiv Puri, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group's chairman Sanjiv Goenka, Ambuja Neotia Group's chairman Harshvardhan Neotia, and a representative of Adani Group are to attend the summit. The event will also be attended by representatives of various Chambers of Commerce, business houses and IT companies. Last year, in the fourth edition of the summit business announcements worth Rs 2,19,925 crore were made. Proper arrangements have been made to conduct the summit smoothly; several food stalls are set up to serve the guests, luxury buses are kept on standby to bring delegates and the guests to the venue.
