As per the sources, it was believed that the next hearing for the Lodha Committee reforms was actually scheduled on 15th May but as the division bench would be on leave, the date shifted to July. The three-judge bench of Supreme Court was headed by Justice Dipak Mishra on Friday. He postponed the hearing of BCCI on Lodha Committee, reforms until 4th July 2018.
On the fresh hearing, amicus curiae were supposed to present the required comments and suggestions of the two-member court, against the refurbishing of the Indian cricket system. It was expected that the long drawn battle between BCCI and CoA is heading towards a settlement, but unfortunately the verdict was pushed back once again.
According to Amitabh Choudhary, acting BCCI secretary the Supreme Court should take into consideration the distribution of power between the professionals and elected officials, cooling off period of three years, one state one vote clause and the constitution of the apex council.
