According to Taste Atlas, Basmati is the best rice in the world. Italy's Arborio rice has secured second place. Portugal's Carolino rice is in the tired place.
India produces nearly 34 types of Basmati rice. Among them, 370, 217, 386 Basmati, Punjab Basmati 1 (Bauni Basmati), Dehradun Basmati (Type-3), Pusa Basmati 1, and Haryana Basmati 1 are the most popular. Basmati rice has various qualities and it is extremely flavorful and fragrant. It is a long grain rice, and after cooking, the rice does not stick to each other.
The Basmati rice has captivated not just India but the entire world. Primarily, this rice is grown in various regions of India and Pakistan.
