1200 police personnel will be deployed in order to tackle the Kartik Puja crowd of Bansberia. Police will also monitor important places through CCTV cameras. A total of 138 CCTV cameras will be installed for this purpose. This announcement was made by the Police Superintendent (rural) Sukesh Jain on Wednesday when the guide map for Kartik Puja was issued.
He stated, all the arrangements have been made by the police officials on the account of Kartik Puja. The GPS technology will be used to track the location of the vehicles which will head to the ghats on the day of idol immersion. On the other hand, Agriculture Marketing Minister Tapan Dasgupta stated, police, municipalities, common people and entrepreneurs will have to make sure that there is no unrest during the puja.
