On 8th June 2018, Team ‘Bachhor Tirish Por’ launched the first look and poster of their upcoming short film in association with Jiyo Bangla. They went live on Jiyo Bangla’s official Facebook page and spoke on the annals of the film which is based on the legendary writer Bibhutibhushan Bandhopadhyay’s short story, ‘Chithi’. The film was shot mainly in Berhampur and Jaikrishnapur.
‘Bachhor Tirish Por’ has one folk song in spite of being a short film as director Suman Adhikari is very fond of folk songs and is himself a folk singer.
Sankalita, who is playing the role of Nirupama, shared hilarious anecdotes of her experience.
"Shooting the death scene was tremendously hilarious and I shall not forget it all my life. The feeling of dying when you’re alive is extremely different," recalled Sankalita.
RJ Roy and Tanushree plays other characters in the film. Considering Bibhutibhusan's generic skills of writing, 'Bachhor Tirish Por' will certainly be a delight to watch.
