Director Arpan Basak’s next film ‘Malini’ is a short thriller which revolves around Saranjit, a young and dynamic writer. At the age of 27, he has successfully completed four novels which have been widely accepted by readers.
The story unfolds when the protagonist of the story Saranjit distracts himself from the process of this fifth novel. He delves deep in his story and ends up in abnormal behavioral change. Basak’s ‘Malini’- the short film revolves around how the protagonist completes his fifth novel and undergoes the change in his behaviour and his relationship with surroundings. It is to be heard that, Supratim Saha will be seen in the role of 27 year old writer, Saranjit. It will be quite challenging to play 27 years old writer, when Supratim is just 19 years old. On the other hand, Aishi Bhattacharya will play the role of a young housewife. As per sources, the shoot of this film will start in January.
