The musicals directed by Anjan Dutta usually cater to the ones who have dedicated a part of their lives to the passion and love for music. The songs in the movies are mostly inspired from tunes which are close to the director’s heart. These popular tunes have been inspired from songs which gave him much needed company in times when he was down. After quite a few musical hits namely, The Bong Connection (2006), Cholo let's Go (2008), Madly Bangalee (2009), Ranjana Ami ar Ashbo Naa (2011) and The Bongs Again (2017), Dutta is all set for his new movie titled “Aami Ashbo Phirey.”
Dutta has always preferred off beat voices for his film compositions. This time Anjan Dutta chose “Amlaan” who is the background scorer for web-series Dupur Thakurpo and Six. Amlaan is about to make his debut in singing for Dutta in “Aami Ashbo Phirey” and “Jaaye Phuriye,” which is a beautiful composition by Neel Dutta and written by Anjan Dutta himself. There are seven songs in the album, but the one sung by Amlaan comes towards the climax of the film. Here’s hoping Amlaan makes it equally successful as a singer as much as he did as a music composer.
