Ajay Devgn: After ‘Maidaan’, Ajay Devgn To Portray The Life Of India's First Dalit Cricketer!

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is getting ready for another sports drama after working on "Maidaan." This time, he is scheduled to play Palwankar Baloo, the first Dalit cricket player in India, in an upcoming movie. Under the direction of Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film will follow the amazing tale of Palwankar Baloo struggle in his life.

The announcement was made by producer Priti Sinha on social media, where she shared, "We, @ajaydevgn, @dirtigmanshu, and @pritisinha333 are producing Baloo Palwankar’s story based on @Ram_Guha sir’s book “A Corner Of A Foreign Field”. We will bring the story of this great cricketer on film soon @ABsay_ek."

The movie will capture Baloo's contributions to cricket while also bringing attention to his fight against prejudice. The audience will connect with Baloo's firm battle against caste prejudice as it is portrayed in this film.

The cast and title of the film have not yet been revealed, but production has started. Following his previous acting achievement in the sports drama "Maidaan," where he played footballer Syed Abdul Rahim, fans went crazy when Ajay Devgn's portrayal of Palwankar Baloo was revealed on social media.

Apart from "Maidaan," Devgn has acted in the horror-thriller movie "Shaitaan." "Singham Again," another highly anticipated film, is directed by Rohit Shetty and is scheduled for release on August 15th of this year.
