Aditya Vikram Sengupta’s ad-film on World Environment Day is an eye-opener. The film narrates the story of a bunch of adults who are involved in painting. Once they are done, the rest of the colors are given to the kids for making images. The adults realize that the kids have drawn black and white pictures due to lack of the colours. The metaphor holds an important message on sustainable development- if we use all the natural resources, next generation won’t have anything left.
“I am very choosy about ad films; I like films that serve a purpose. The credit for this social experiment goes to JWT, Kolkata and its VP & ECD Arjun Mukherjee rendered us all the help. Creative directors Tandra and Partha, and copywriters Samarpita Sam, Moeinuk Sengupta, and Sayasi Ghosh have also done a good job; the DoP for the ad was Setu,” asserts Aditya whose Mother’s Day film for Tata Pravesh had received praise before.
