Education minister of West Bengal, Shri Partha Chatterjee finally underscored on the system of unwanted school bag pressure for the kids. Since years, there were repeated complaints from the parents as well as kids that they are facing a number of physical problems for carrying such huge loads of books and exercise books. Most of the time, they hardly require all of them in school but there were strict rules to bring all of them. Government is now taking due initiatives to curtail the load, so that this young generation can study and lead a healthy life for a longer period of time.
The committee for the syllabus management was instructed to take proper measures on this and they have thought of making the books with comparatively less pages and eliminate the unnecessary pictures that upturn the page count of the book. Furthermore, education minister asked the government schools to follow the norms set up by the committee and include 2, 3, 4, 5 books for class I, II,III, IV respectively.
