The Central government aims to turn the country into a 100% electric vehicle nation by 2030. The EV Expo East 2018 takes forward the vision of the Central Government at Science City, Kolkata on May 11- May 13, 2018. The organiser of the event Mr. Rajiv Arora said that there are around 30 companies participating in the Expo this year. These 30 companies include 25 Indian and 5 companies from China.
The number of participating Indian companies has increased compared to the previous years. The 3 day event shall showcase the latest and technologically advanced pollution free 2,3 & 4 wheeled E- Vehicles like E-Rickshaw, E-Cars, E-Bikes, E-Scooters, E-Bicycles as well as E-Loaders. It is supported by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India and is being organized in the previous years out of which Kolkata hosted 3.
