Cricket is not just a sport but an emotion in the 'City of Joy'. Kolkata is filled with sports-loving people. So, it wasn't unusual when the Terapanth Professional Forum in association with Jiyo Bangla organized a Cricket Premier League called 'Professional Premier League-2019'. 6 teams namely; Rahi Rangers, Kundalia Knight Riders, Steadler Super Kings, TTHI-Flyers, GST Dost Dynamos, and Vicom Sunrisers were a part of this league. The organizers held the Trophy Unveiling Ceremony on 13th January at Russel street.
The final match happened on Sunday 20th January at Chinar Park's V- Indoor Sports Complex. The initial matches were of 6 overs whereas the final match had 8 overs. After the match, the prize distribution ceremony was held. These are not professional players but they surely have the sportsman spirit. Vicom and Rahi Rangers fought with honor to be the winner. Ultimately the Vicom Sunrisers emerged out as the glorious winner. This sports event is the Terapanth Professional Forum’s first initiative towards sports and they hope to arrange it the next year too. Team Owners were T.T: Garments, VICOM , GST Dost, Rahi: Your reliable travel Partner, Staedtler and Kundalia’s: Muskan Har Pal. The amount of energy and zeal the teams displayed was commendable. Jiyo Bangla witnessed those lofted shots and artistry from delivered by each player.
The Terapanth Community is involved with a lot of social work like the blood donation camp, quiz competition, and other fun and social activities.
