Good news for pet owners of New Town and Salt Lake area! An integrated pet creche cum clinic has been inaugurated in New Town on Friday. The housing complex will be run by the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA). The facility will have a creche, clinic, cemetery, Sterilization and vaccination unit. Pet owners face a lot of problems while going out for vacations as they can’t find a place to leave their pets and there were no pet burial grounds in the nearby area. This facility will be of great help for the pet owners in that region.
The complex can have 10 dogs at a time. The charges are Rs.750 for large dogs and Rs. 500 for small dogs. The owners have to pay security money of Rs. 1000; all the payments have to be done in advance. Owners have to provide doctor’s certificate mentioning the dog’s health that he is free of any infections. If the dogs are on some regular medicines then that too has to be mentioned. The centre won’t allow any outside food and the owner will have to remark their dog’s food habits.
