Bengali we are- and how can we miss out for a cold drink? Well, it’s Sorbot and not Sherbet, just as we say Rosogolla and not Rasgulla. Just plunge into the almost 100-year-old Paramount- the one stop shop for ‘sorbot’. This place is considered to be a heritage building because this place was the favorite hub for Indian superheroes and martyrs.
This building was located at first in 1/a Bankim Chatterjee Street and was named Paradise in those days. With the marble top tables, deer torsos grace, the nostalgic place has one unique feature that is glass framed menu cards. Coming to its menus, the Shop serves different types of syrup and curd based sherbets. A special solution has been used in Paramount sherbet from years, it was invented by legendary Indian scientist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy!
This place also holds the amazing pictures of the martyrs who used to visit the shop. Want to feel nostalgic and yet enjoy some quality time? Step into Paramount.
