A Christmas gift above ordinary!

Unlike mainstream Christmas gifts like ties and scarves that are generally gifted to EU officials and journalists, the government of Finland is offering a high-tech Christmas gift to all the European Union citizens. Finland is going to gift a no-cost online course in artificial intelligence to the European Union citizens that to according to their own language preferences. The Nordic nation led by 34-year-old Prime Minister Sanna Marin is going to provide practical understanding of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to of all EU citizens - about five million people - through a basic online course by the end of 2021. In order to make this a reality, the government is seeking help from the University Of Helsinki, Finland's largest and oldest academic institution, and the Finland-based tech consultancy Reaktor. The project is presumed to be worth $2m. Teemu Roos, a University of Helsinki associate professor in the department of computer science has described this project as "a civics course in AI" which will help EU citizens to cope with society's ever-increasing digitisation and the possibilities AI offers in the jobs market. The course will be a pretty basic one covering elementary AI concepts in a practical way and won’t be digging into deeper concepts. The Finnish Ministry for Economic Affairs and Employment will be financing this project.
