West Bengal government made elaborate arrangements to provide the school and college going students watch the FIFA U-17 World Cup matches in Salt Lake Stadium which commenced on 8th October earlier this year.
However, the above mentioned arrangement was made only for students who play football or are involved in any other sporting activities.
Of the 5,000 passes to be allotted daily, 2,000 were given to students of schools and colleges, while 500 each were provided to students of Madrasas and polytechnic colleges.
